How does it work?
With virtual cabling, you can use the same field devices as in traditional cabling. Signals are digitized and transmitted through the building's core network, eliminating the need for physical data cables running through the building.
Your Building Management System (BMS) is also the same as before. Instead of physical cables to field devices, it is connected to Clouder's Virtual Cabling Engine, which contains the routing information. Virtualized cables work in the building independently of external connections.
Clouder's industrial-grade Edge Connector devices are installed in the premises, allowing installers to easily connect field devices following instructions from our mobile application.
Edge Connectors transmit data wirelessly and encrypted over the IP network to the building's BMS center. All system data can be utilized for other purposes, and new field devices can be added without expensive cable installations.
Virtual cabling integrates with all systems, vendor solutions, protocols, and technologies. The system can be installed in new buildings or retrofitted into existing ones.
